Kym’s – The New Bloomberg Arcade Addition
Stylish and Laid Back Restaurant Destination in London
Following the success of his family owned A.Wong Cantonese restaurant, located in Pimlico, chef Andrew Wong has opened a more relaxed venue of his own. For his location he selected the Bloomberg Arcade London, which has become the new cultural and culinary destination in the city. The Arcade is also the site of Bloomberg’s European Headquarters – designed by Foster and Partners.
The restaurant’s name is a tribute to the original restaurant owned by Mr. Wong’s parents. They managed the venue for for 27 years, and took the name directly from Mr. Wong’s grandmother. The iteration fits nicely with the contemporary setting and the feel of the venue, thanks to Michaelis Boyd, who created the stunning interiors with Chinese inflections. Versital has worked closely with the designers to complete the venue with stunning surfaces.
Michelin Acclaimed Chef
Andrew Wong received a Michelin star last year for his amazing culinary creations. He is educated in the traditional French cooking style and has also taken a working tour of china in order to master his Cantonese style. He is a master in the ancient craft of Chinese ‘roasting’ meats, turning his deeply rooted cultural dishes into contemporary culinary creations. His restaurant very much reflects his incredible skill and guests can expect many rice and traditional dishes intertwined with classic French accents.

Amazing food served by Andrew Wong is matched by the remarkable design created by Michaelis Boyd and installed by WFC Contractors. Spread over two floors, the venue features many dark woods, speckled terrazzo flooring, natural plaster walls and decadent furnishings.
The designers opted to complete the design with white marble finish table tops and kitchen passes from Versital. Versital worked closely with the designers and fitters, creating bespoke shapes that add to the overall look of the restaurant.

Located under the life-sized cherry blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant, is a copper topped bar – offering its visitors a taste of Asian-influenced cocktails.
