We manufacture your bar tops to specification

Our bespoke bar tops are manufactured to your exact specifications, using either provided dimensions or technical diagrams. Your bar tops can either be straight or curved: for the latter, we can manufacture from templates supplied to us on MDF or paper. For extra customisation, we offer two main edge detail options: straight drop edge and bullnose edge detail. Additionally, you can choose from four under-edge details. These intricate options add unique edge details without multiple joins, providing a clean and cost effective solution.

At Versital, our installation process is straightforward, requiring no extraordinary tools. Our cultured marble bar tops are strong and can be scribed, cut, and drilled on-site using standard woodworking tools. Before installation, drop edge details and additional intricate under-edge designs are cast and fixed, ready to go. 

Can I customise the size, shape, and edge detail of my bar counter or work top?

Every Versital bar top is manufactured to order to your specifications. This gives you ultimate flexibility over the size shape and edge detail of the custom bar top. However, to help guide you we do have a range of edge details to make those decisions simpler and help to keep costs down.

Are Versital bar tops and worktops waterproof and stain-resistant?

Yes! Versital bar tops are fully waterproof and stain proof making them ideal for high traffic situations.

What colour and finish options are available in cultured marble?

Versital has a huge range of colour options to choose from. Always check what products are available in a colour finish – they each have a list of available products. Finishes that are suitable for high traffic areas are the best options for bar tops.

What edge details are available for bar tops?

Bar tops have a number of different edge detail options. We have a straight drop edge and bullnose available at no extra cost as part of all our bar tops. Take a look at the bar top tech spec to see more.

Are these bar tops suitable for commercial and hospitality use?

Yes absolutely! Versital cultured marble is an ideal alternative to real marble, due to it’s waterproof and stain proof properties. Versital is often used in areas that want a marble look but also need to stand up to potential staining from food and drinks in bars and restaurants or watermarks in the case of washrooms.

What is the biggest bar top you can make?

The biggest bar top we can make in one piece is 3 meters long. We regularly make bar tops longer than this which are then jointed on site. We always supply the joint kit and full instructions.

How do you Install a bar top?

We always recommend to dry fit any item including bar tops first to check they are correct. Tops can then be fitted down on the carcass or subtop using silicone which offers a flexible adhesive property. Take a look at the installation video guide for clearer instructions.

How do you joint a bar top?

With tops that are over 3 meters long we will often supply them with domino joints to make matching up as straight forward as possible. This system allows installers to see how the joint position should marry up properly and add any packers necessary. After dry fitting, the domino can be pushed into place on one side before pushing the two sides together. This system is not available for tops going between two walls.

A jointing kit that includes a jointing compound will be supplied to fix the joint together.

A simply bead of silicone should be used on the tops of the joint for a clean seal. We do not recommend polishing down Versital on the joint position as this will remove the protective gel coat.
