  1. Versital Proudly Selected for Vivi: The Premium Dining Destination

    Versital table tops and bar tops specified for a premium restaurant Vivi, in London.

    Versital is proud to announce that its’ faux marble table tops and bar tops have been selected to compliment the latest project by a premium hospitality group: rhubarb.

    Vivi restaurant is located in one of London’s most iconic buildings of the sixties: The Centre Point. The new venue has an interesting and modern ambience inspired by the sixties as a tribute to the designer George Marsh and the building itself.

    SAY Architects Director Gordon Young about the restaurant’s look:

    “The design takes inspiration from the 1960s. Centre Point is an iconic building that was completed in 1966. We referred back to that era as we felt it was appropriate and respectful to the building, as well as being a fun reference for the interior fit out.”

    Modern British Dining in Exquisite Style

    The large 16,000 square feet venue features two spectacular galleries overlooking New Oxford Street and new public plaza. Designers wanted to divide the space in order to create distinctive dining experiences in each of them.

    Versital’s Table tops in ‘Arabesque’ tops found their place in the more feminine part of the restaurant due to their subtle finish, while ‘Norvein’ marble finish compliments the masculine northern gallery. Both galleries are brought together in the main dining area inspired by a sixties dance hall with a glamorous bar at one end and walnut and rose-coloured mirrored feature wall at the other end.

    “We are very proud to have been selected to create this stunning design with the premium hospitality design practice rhubarb. We have been following their work for some time and find their projects absolutely breath-taking. We believe that Vivi is an astonishing project that will really add to the iconic London development and we are delighted to be a part of it.”

    Rhubarb has a portfolio of well-recognised restaurants in London including Sky Garden, CODA by Eric Chavot and Verdi Italian Kitchen at the Royal Albert Hall.

    The restaurant uses a range of complimenting features to create an ambience sympathetic with the design of the iconic London development. The designers made use of reflective surfaces and metal accents including the table tops from Versital and the incredible chandelier from a Danish designer called Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt to really create a statement.

    “We believe that the restaurant will be one of the main go-to places in London not only due to the fantastic design, but also the incredible menu that is a signature of the rhubarb practice.”

    SAY Architects Director Gordon Young about the restaurant’s look:

    “When you look back on the initial concept, we haven’t lost too many of the initial ideas, that is rewarding. Of course to see the whole Centre Point be redeveloped back to its original intention to be the centre of London, and be part of that development, is also very gratifying.”

  2. Bar panels a big hit in ‘Tangoed’.

    Club and Bar Panels proving to be a hit on the Night Scene!

    Versital has long established a reputation for manufacturing beautiful bar tops and public washroom products for commercial installers.  One of the latest trends has been the move towards using Versital paneling for front of bar panels in nightclubs and wine bars.

    This example shows a fantastic use of this year’s colour, Orange, to create a striking look for this golf club.  Here panels in ‘Tangoed’ from the Reflect range have been used to great effect to create this beautiful look.

    Pantone announced at the end of last year that Bright and burnt Orange and Tangerine were to be the colours of 2012.  In which case Woll golf course pictured here couldn’t be more on trend!

    Here they have used Versital’s panels to creat a striking and trendy look for their wine bar using the ‘Reflect’ sparkle finish in ‘Tangoed’ and used LED’s to light it up to great effect. Versital panels, like the other products in Versital’s range are waterproof, stain resistant and can be refurbished should the need arise.     Peter Langley at Langley Interiors used Versital for his latest design and delighted his customer with this unique and fabulous bar installation.  Glamour was the name of the game and Versital definitely did not disappoint! Coming up something as unique as curved bars, will ensure you stand out from the crowd and have something completely different to what is typically on offer.

    Adding a unique touch of glitter to curved bar, adding ultimate opulence to the bar installation.

    The finishes chosen in this instance were ‘Glacier Pearl’ for the bar top and ‘Noire Reflect‘ for the curved front bar panel. The design is simple with curved lines and curved bar top.
