The Northern design sector has been rapidly expanding over recent years, with major new practices and design centres forming in the main cities of the North West.
The Beginning of Concept North
Having met via the social media platform Instagram, designers Natalie Holden and Melinda Kiss felt there was a gap in networking in the North West, with the majority of events being more focused in the South of the UK, mainly in London. Together they joined forces to try and plug this gap, and Concept North was born.
Concept North aims to bring together various areas of the design and property sectors, holding fun and informal networking events and providing support and opportunities for designers and businesses.
About Us
Being a Northern based manufacturer of custom made solid surfaces, Versital is strongly committed to supporting designers and other manufacturers in this sector.
Sponsorship and Support
Having attended a number of the Concept North events since their inception, Versital was keen to get involved in supporting the growing organisation already proving a resounding success.
Natalie Holden at Concept North Commented:
“We are really pleased to have the support from such a reputable and innovative company based in the North of the UK. We absolutely love Versital’s products and ethos and it’s great to be working with a friendly team that share our values and vision for Concept North”
Versital will join Concept Joinery and Tektura wallcoverings in supporting the events.
Gemma Stockberger, Sales and Marketing Director at Versital Said:
“Concept North is a brilliant initiative that directly aligns with the ethos of our business. We work very closely with a number of designers, often working in collaboration with them to create new colours, products and innovative projects.
Their aim to bring together the community of Northern designers is something that we feel passionately about. Achieving excellence in our field becomes much easier with people like Natalie and Melinda.”
Gemma added:
“We hope that the collaboration between our brands will bring many great things and help to develop the industry. The events held by Concept North are a great opportunity for designers to not only network, but also exchange ideas and give each other support. The community that emerges from such events will stimulate the sector and help it to reach new heights.”
