   Madison, the owner of the ambitious coffee shop, said “I have always had a passion for baking & all things pretty so combined the two to create my dream, which I hoped other people would also feel excited about! I wanted to create an ethereal place to eat beautiful cakes and delicious afternoon teas and to indulge with friends and family in a unique environment from the usual! The metallic marble from Versital was the perfect fit to create my dream décor.”

2. Botanist Bristol – Inspired Hospitality Design

   The Botanist Bristol – A New Addition to this Vibrant City

   Bristol has welcomed a newly refurbished restaurant with the perfect hospitality design to the already vibrant city. Offering a glamorous new look and carefully curated menu to celebrate any occasion.

   Newly Refurbished Botanist

   The newly refurbished Botanist in Bristol delivers everything you would expect from the well known and successful brand. Offering high end cocktails, an inspired new menu and stunning surroundings.

   Marketing Manager Lydia of the Botanist group, and lead designer Phoebe of JMDA Design spent months researching and designing the perfect new hospitality design for the update. At the same time, a new and exciting menu has been created that perfectly mirrors the feel created by the décor.

   

   Modernised Decor 

   The modernised décor combines on-trend, deep tones with splashes of vibrant colour to create an opulent, yet cosy feel.

   Plush velvet seating and industrial copper lighting also add a touch of glamour to this relaxing and inviting space.

   

   Funky Artwork

   Funky unique artwork and talking point wallpaper make this a venue people are clamouring to visit.

   

   Marble Bar Top with A Twist

   The bar areas includes show stopping poseur tables complete with champagne buckets. Metallic marble ‘Gold Stratos’ from Versital has been chosen for both the tables tops the bar top to add to the feeling of opulence. Offering a modern twist on a traditional marble, this finish is the perfect backdrop for the vibrant colours and copper touches throughout the venue.

   

   Waterproof and Stain Proof Surfaces

   As well as looking beautiful, the marble finish is immensely practical, being 100% waterproof and stain proof.

   

   The same is true for the table tops used throughout the venue. The vibrant chairs in fabric from designer Beth at Bobo are the perfect addition.

   Bathrooms are regularly one of the most photographed areas, especially with beautiful Instagram worthy décor and lighting. The perfect place to share a selfie!

   Sometimes the gents toilets get a little bit neglected – not so in this scheme. Opting for a darker theme with a rich green marble from Versital in Verde combined with a striking jungle themed wallpaper from Charlotte Jade.

   

   The ladies toilet is a complete contrast to the gents, opting for a lighter more feminine colour theme. A beautifully traditional style marble ‘Royal pavilion’ is used for the vanity tops and brought to life by another vibrant and quirky wallpaper design from Charlotte Jade.

3. Harts Boatyard – Surbiton

   The Harts Boatyard is centrally located in the picturesque town of Surbiton, overlooking the peaceful & idyllic surroundings on the banks of the River Thames.

   JMDA design were tasked with enhancing the already peaceful setting, whilst injecting a burst of energy into this charming riverside venue.

   Part of the Mitchells and Butlers restaurant group, this venue has an established client base upon which to improve and update. The bones of the building worked well, but a face lift and refresh were needed.

   Bright colour combination

   JMDA have once again brought an interesting and modern take on a this bar/restaurant.  Using a combination of bright bold fabrics and wallpapers, and dark contrasting walls.

   

   Zoned Areas

   The design team added interest to the venue by dividing it into sections using a variety of design and colours.

   Darker colours are used in the dining areas for a cosy feel, whereas the bar has been kept light with vibrant fabrics and burnt orange tones.

   Some areas of the venue are designed with families in mind, whereas others have been tailored to appeal to a grown up crowd.

   Classic Marble bar tops and table tops

   Marble bar tops are still a popular choice – a timeless material that works well with a lot of other materials and colours. The drawback with real marble is that it is naturally porous and can stain and watermark.

   

   JMDA opted for Versital cultured marble bar tops and marble table tops. Being a resin composite hand made to replicate real marble, it has the massive benefits of being waterproof and stain proof whilst having the look of marble.

   The bar tops have a modern twist. The Metallic Marble finish in Copper Stratos incorporates veins of shimmering metallic thread throughout.

   Combining Materials

   The marble bar tops are complemented perfectly by the bar frontage, a combination of burnt orange tiles from Parkside and oak panels.

   Lighting

   Lighting is an important design element for any venue. As well as LED’s to the bar frontage, a mixture of feature pendants, wall lights and spotlights are dotted throughout the restaurant to create atmosphere.

   

   Not forgetting The Washrooms!

   The washrooms have become an important consideration to any bar and restaurant. They are regularly the location for selfies and Instagram images, and the lighting and decor often sited as important to visitors.

   Striking marble vanity tops, in a custom ‘Carrata’ style marble from Versital are the main feature.  The tops are fully waterproof and stain proof, ideal for busy washrooms. They are also extremely hygienic and easy to clean.

   

   Custom Details

   The back splash incorporates a beautiful curved detail to the top corners for an art deco appeal, crafted in the Versital workshop.

   The gold and teak style wood to the front of the vanities is the perfect complement to the marble top.

4. The Lyttelton Arms Restaurant and Pub

   Exciting new venue in the charming town of Hagley near Birmingham is everything you would expect of a bar design from JMDA. The designers created a funky new style, perfect for the beautiful restaurant pub and bar.

   Relaxed and Contemporary Look

   The Lyttelton Arms is a brand new concept venue created by the hospitality designers JMDA. The dark colours used in the interior are contrasted against many sources of overlaying light and tropical themes to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

   

   The designers opted for many pieces of bold art placed thoughtfully throughout the venue in an array of prints, neon features and 3D elements. Combined with the amazing seasonal menu and cocktails, the venue has become an instant hit.

   Shortlisted for the International Design Excellence Awards

   The project has been recognised professionally and shortlisted for the highly sought after SBID Award.  Due to how impressive the bar design is.

   Bright and Bold Interiors

   The interiors use a dark colour palette featuring many block colours such as navy blue, purple and moss green. As well as bold colours, bold prints for the wallpapers were chosen to really create an impact.

   

   The venue is finished off with artistic, one of a kind elements including chandeliers, bar tops and pieces of modern art. The made to measure, custom bar top adds character and livens up to the space. The finish dubbed ‘Busy Carrata’ was custom engineered specifically for this project working in conjunction with the design team and JMDA.

   

   Brand New Custom Finishes

   Versital has worked closely with JMDA  to create custom finished and unique pieces for their bar designs. The collaboration created the innovative finish ‘Busy Carrata’, which is used on table tops and show stopping bar top.   Rich brown marbled finishes were also chosen for the table tops

5. The Dukes’ Head – Dark and Daring Pub and Restaurant

   The Newest Bar Design Project from Premium Hospitality Designers – JMDA

   Located in the beautiful town of Crawley, The Dukes’ Head premium country pub and restaurant is renowned for its atmosphere and inviting ambiance. The venue is a great go to for customers all year round.

   The venue features brand new design from the premium hospitality design group JMDA. The venue is an edgy, modern take on a warm homely interior. The group decided to blend together a range of styles and create an interesting and daring experience.

   Varied Ambience for Different Occasions

   The designers took into consideration the varied clients visiting the venue. They designed different areas within the venue with different styles to appeal to different users. The venue is  perfect for everything from celebratory drinks and business nights out, as well as family dinners and casual drinks.

   

   Separate dining areas for private parties are also available. The design is brought together by the soft textures of the upholstery, as well as contrasting metal and tiled elements.

   Strong Colour Palette

   JMDA created a homely, warm feeling by using striking colours like indigo, blue and purple and contrasting them with vibrant mustard’s. They also featured a large marble bar top look from Versital in one of the newly released ‘Inspired by Pantone’ collection finishes.

   

   Bespoke pieces of furniture like the stunning cog-wheel styled were incorporated for a real feeling of individuality and luxury. The design seamlessly incorporates trendy metallic elements alongside contrasting indigo blue tiles and furnishings.

   Marble Bar Tops from Brand New ‘Inspired by Pantone’ Collection

   The made to measure marble bar top featured in the venue is made to order by Versital to the exact specifications of the designer – right down to the drop edge detail. The designers selected a double veined brown from the new ‘Inspired by Pantone’ collection. The marble styled bar top is a perfect addition venue, giving it an interesting twist on a classic finish, and balancing the colour palette.

   

   The ‘Inspired by Pantone’ collection from Versital has proven a hot with hospitality designers.JMDA interior design have used a variety of finishes across their recent projects.

7. Versital Marble Bar Tops Commissioned For New Whitbread Concept Cookhouse & Pub

   Versital is thrilled to have been commissioned by interior designers JMDA Ltd to provide bespoke bar tops and kitchen pass tops for their latest project with hospitality giant Whitbread. Cookhouse & Pub located in Oldbury, West Midlands, is the newest concept venue by the company and features Versital’s on-trend ‘Arabesque’ marble finish surfaces.

   New Informal Dining Experience for Whitbread

   Described by Whitbread as ‘an informal, all day restaurant, with the relaxed vibe and affordability of a pub’ the new space is now a striking new eatery that has replaced the previous site. Speaking of the renovation, Simon Tyas, director of JMDA said

   ‘Much of the original interior was stripped out. The kitchen and back of house areas were retained in the same location, but the kitchen was converted into a theatre-style, extending into the restaurant and including a bistro oven, so diners can see their food being prepared.’

   

   Made to Order Bar Tops

   Versital’s made-to-order surfaces were commissioned for the bar tops and kitchen pass tops in a luxurious white marble finish. The handcrafted surfaces bring a fresh and modern feel to the space, effortlessly complementing the contemporary colour palette of teal, mushroom and off white. 8. Mixology 2017 : Versital Finalist Second Year Running for Top Interior Design Award

   Luxury surface manufacturer, Versital is a finalist for the second year in a row in the ‘Product of the Year: Surface’ category for the Mixology North Awards 2017.

   Versital is delighted to announce that its signature ‘faux’ cultured marble surface material has been selected yet again as a finalist for a prestigious design award. This year the brand new ‘Metallic Marble’ finish has been short listed as a contender for product of the year.

   

   The Mixology Awards acknowledge the very best in design; awarding products that bring something truly unique to the industry. The shortlist was selected by a panel of judges made up of architects and industry experts. Finalists have been judged based on a criteria that considered factors such as sustainability, design originality, aesthetics, ease of use and commercial viability.

   Versital is delighted to have been specified by award-winning interior design practice, Collective Design, for its latest restaurant renovation project.

   The popular Central Oven & Shaker, a stylish pizzeria in Newcastle, recently underwent a thorough renovation throughout the premises. Central Oven & Shaker is a popular eatery based in Neville Street, in the heart of Newcastle. It offers a selection of artisan pizzas and thirst-quenching cocktails, and seamlessly blends industrial inspired design and natural materials for a modern and vibrant setting. Versital’s faux marble bar tops finish surfaces perfectly complement the wooden accents used throughout the restaurant.
