There is good reason that Petra remains one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites, where ancient Eastern traditions blend with Hellenistic architecture. Breath taking architecture where the structure is half-built, half-carved into the rock, and surrounded by mountains riddled with passages and gorges.

Adding in no small part to the beauty of this structure, the beautiful pink sandstone that it is carved from adds an ethereal glow – especially at sunrise.
