Inside the new Luxury Salon: Harrods Townhouse

We are absolutely delighted to present our latest collaboration in one of the most prestigious retail spaces in the UK. Opened in August 2021, the Townhouse Nail Salon inside the iconic Harrods department store. Dubbed “the most luxurious nail salon in the world”, thanks in a large part to the custom marble supplied by Versital for the nail bar tops, cast panels and intricate end details. This salon is a model of the perfect venue to delight clients and what can be achieved with a well-thought-through design. 

THE WORLD’S MOST LUXURIOUS NAIL SALON

Working with designer FormRoom and shopfitter Clements Retail, the finished look is something timeless and exuberant. The salon features the classic onyx marble from Versital ‘Autumn Onyx’, which combines the modern design with a classic marble look. The custom marble itself – a cream and white colour with a burnt orange vein – was cast to the designers’ specifications, and provides the foundation for the atmosphere of the entire salon.

According to Forbes magazine, “the Townhouse features private mani-and-pedi booths, ultra-high-end interiors, and an eye-catching marble manicure bar”, and we’re certainly proud to be noted in such a prestigious publication.

Not only does the Townhouse benefit from the beautiful aesthetics of Versital marble, it of course comes with all the benefits you’d expect from all our marbles. Versital is extremely hygienic offering the anti-bacterial protection of SteriTouch, as well as being waterproof and easy to clean.

WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DESIGNERS AND SHOP FITTERS

As well as manufacturing to design specification we are also on hand to offer advice to designers to help create the vision they have whilst being a practical real-world solution. We often have designers who approach us with a brief and initial design who may need advice making it work in practice.
We were able to offer our expertise in creating a beautiful cast nail bar and top, with intricate end details. It really helps to work alongside an experienced installer like Clements with whom we worked closely throughout the project.
Our aim is to take the stress away from the designer and end client and work alongside other trades to get a good end result.
As well as being a beautiful marble finish it offers the benefits of being extremely hygienic, easy to clean and non-porous so will not stain

THE ULTIMATE PRESTIGE

Quite simply, the marble selected for this project could only have been the best of the best, in order to meet the criteria for the project and fit the rest of the design. The design and materials used for the project simply had to be up to the same standard as the elite location of the Townhouse.

Versital’s marble does just that. Our expert craftsmen were able to bring the design to life with beautiful cultured custom marble surfaces to do the iconic store justice.
