Versital is delighted to have been specified in Chaophraya, a contemporary Thai restaurant in Newcastle. The restaurant has recently undergone a £1.55 million transformation that offers an impressive blend of contemporary Thai cuisine in unique surroundings.
Stunning Marble Bar Top
Versital supplied a stunning three meter marble bar top and marble panels to meet the brief of ‘classic elegance’.
The restaurant, based in Eldon Square near Grey’s Monument, offers modern Thai dishes and authentic surroundings with items sourced from Thailand on display. Chaophraya Business Manager, Simon Wright says:
Practical Solution for Delicious but Messy Food
“While it is indeed delicious, Thai food can be messy and therefore prone to staining. We needed a practical solution for our new restaurant that would project an opulent and authentic look, while still being fit for purpose and keep looking as good as new for a long time. Versital’s bespoke faux marble means we now have the best of both worlds for our restaurant – a beautiful, premium marble bar and ‘pass’, without the drawbacks of the naturally porous material.”
